Supporters and Friends:

As the winter holidays approach, the Shinnecock Nation is disappointed to learn that the Town of Southampton has authorized another $150,000 to fight our Tribal Nation's goal of economic self-sufficiency. To date, the Town of Southampton has spent over $732,000 in direct tax-payer money, and close to $1 million overall, to pursue a lawsuit against our people: Click here to see how your money is being spent.

In this time of holiday giving, we urge you to contact your town, state and national representatives and ask why Southampton and New York are "giving away" tax-payer dollars for a fight you don't believe in. Make you voice heard by clicking below to email you comments to:

Dear XXX,

I am a Long Island area residents who supports our 400-year-old neighbor, the Shinnecock Indian Nation, in their quest to seek true self-reliance.

I call on you to work with the Shinnecock Nation in reaching their goal of self-reliance while also supporting year-round economic development. And stop the over $1 million spent to fight the lawsuits against them.

Sincerely,
XXX
